Can't believe it is Friday ... How come the older we get the faster time flies? This week I had finished a quilt for a friend of mine in California. Her sister is ill and she made her the cutest Maxine quilt. She took a panel and made the blocks into a square in a square. All bright cheerful colors! I loved working on it. I tried doing some larger feathers in the outer square. Used some swirly curls to keep with the cheerful theme. I added stippling/meandering (Never can remember which one I'm suppose to use as one is for hand quilting and I don't want to offend the beauty of hand quilters) I think it turned out really cute. BUT I forgot I was going to have my husband hold it up for a picture...when I remember that - it was already packed up and ready to go back. So all I have are the blocks. But not one of the entire quilt
After Jackie's left I gave a quilting lesson on Tuesday - that went so well she wants to make our sessions weekly. She learned how to make HST and will be making 2 pillows with a 4th of July theme.
So THEN I needed to work on MY resolution. I've finished my Bright Ghetto for May and have 2 more to work on. Above is Chocolate Stars. It is now on Squiggy and is about 1/3 quilted. With luck It will be finished Sunday or Monday. The only other thing on my Resolution list is to "work on" my double wedding ring strip quilt. So I guess I need to cut some centers...THEN I made all my resolutions for May. WHEW!
So I hope you all have a safe and fun filled holiday. Happy Memorial day everyone!
